The Sky Skipper
An early experimental web animation that pushed full-screen design before high-speed internet.

Created circa 2001, this film reflects an early exploration of hybrid digital storytelling at a time when broadband was not yet widely available.
Built from over 1,000 photographed images and more than 500 original background compositions, the project involved shooting live actors and animating the still frames to create a full cinematic experience designed specifically for low-bandwidth dial-up delivery.
The resulting aesthetic is intentionally stylized, drawing from and gently parodying vintage science fiction serials. What may appear rough by current standards is partly the result of technological limitations of the era, and partly a deliberate embrace of retro, collage-driven visual language.
The piece remains an important marker of early voice development and a forward-thinking attempt to push digital narrative form within the constraints of its time.
