Lago di Bambino
An arts, education, and senior living community designed as a Tuscan-style lakeside village destination.

Lago di Bambino is a forward-thinking community concept that merges Mediterranean-inspired architecture with modern living. Designed as a walkable small town centered around a lake and public park, the project blends senior living, arts residency, education, healthcare, retail, and tourism into one cohesive environment rooted in beauty, sustainability, and connection.
Lago di Bambino is a purpose-built lakeside town designed around the idea that beauty, creativity, and community are essential to well-being. Inspired by the warmth and human scale of Mediterranean villages, the architecture evokes timeless stone facades, shaded arcades, and intimate streets that prioritize pedestrians over cars.
At its core is a large public park surrounding a small artificial lake, an open gathering space for residents and visitors alike. Boardwalk paths, shaded seating, seasonal events, and outdoor performances create a natural rhythm of daily life. The park is not ornamental. It is the heart of the town.
The residential model is intentionally focused. Upper floors house a community composed primarily of seniors and working artists. Seniors benefit from proximity to healthcare services anchored by a research-based medical facility, while artists maintain studios and ground-floor shops that activate the streetscape. Approximately seventy-five percent of residents are seniors, and twenty-five percent are artists, creating a dynamic exchange between experience and creative energy.
Ground-level spaces include cafés, artisan retail, galleries, specialty food vendors, classrooms, and educational extensions affiliated with regional universities. The town functions as a living campus, a place where lifelong learning, craftsmanship, and mentorship intersect.
Lago di Bambino operates as both community and destination. Visitors are drawn to its quaint shopping village, locally produced arts and foods, seasonal markets, and waterfront promenades. The result is a self-sustaining ecosystem that blends senior living, education, healthcare, retail, and tourism within a thoughtfully scaled environment.
No buildings rise above three stories. The design is dog-friendly, pedestrian-friendly, and fully accessible. Sustainability principles guide infrastructure, materials, and energy use, ensuring that the town’s long-term health matches its aesthetic appeal.
Lago di Bambino is not a retirement village, not a theme park, and not a shopping center. It is a contemporary interpretation of the village model, where art, dignity, and daily life coexist in one walkable place.
